buttonbush
This deciduous shrub grows to between 6 and 12 feet tall,
though occasionally it can reach 20 feet tall. It grows easily in wet soils
and can withstand flooding and even shallow standing water. It adapts well
to most soil types except for wet ones. The small, round flowers are very
